Nightmares are a side-effect!?!?!?

YES! You read that correctly...according to Wikipedia, my starting point for all non-PhD related research, my anti-malaria medication can cause: "difficulty sleeping (nightmares, incoherent dreams)...Headaches and stomach irritation."

And on top of that, a two-week prescription, FOURTEEN PILLS, costs $106.99 out of pocket! Insurance may or may not cover it, but that's a whole other mess to resolve in and of itself. Long story short, I walked out of Target paying $58 for a one-week supply of the stuff.....yah, I'm peeved, but I didn't have a choice I tell you! I have to start the anti-malaria meds at least one week prior to arriving in Africa, and today is the one week mark. Oh well, no use crying over spilled milk and spent money. Spending money stresses me out...BAH!

On a brighter note, I (finally) bought my luggage so I'll start packing tonight...it shouldn't take me long, right?  It's been suggested that I bring some of my fave foods with me because I'm such a finicky eater...do you think waffles will travel well? ;)

*SIGH* I haven't even left the States yet and already my nerves are tap-dancing all over my tummy.  *INHALE, EXHALE* I'm thinking its a function of my parents being stressed out...so hopefully once I'm out of their presence I can chillax and enjoy this trip for what it is.
Since I hate blogging without at least including some pictures, let me post pics of my last trip to Africa!

Outside in my parents' compound

I just got my hair did!
Can't remember why I was avoiding the camera...
probably thinking I didn't want documentation of me in yellow...
