B Shark the Diplomat

Hello All!

Fun day! Walked to class, lecture was quite interesting actually. Trans-Atlantic relations post-Cold War. Interesting indeed.
Had Chinese food in Suisse...pretty good, but tasted like it does in L'Amerique.
Afternoon workshop got soooo heated...people need to calm down! Development is a passionate issue, but disrespect cannot be tolerated.
Afterwards, I went to dip my feet in the lake. Cest bon!

How about my roomie, Alex, Elana, and Mark had a lakeside dinner without me! No worries! After the "Aid for Trade" panel (very interesting, we should discuss sometime, John Hancock with the WTO is tre interesant!), we had wine and pizza in the park overlooking Lake Geneve, then went to the bar by the lake and walked home barefoot in the rain.

Today, I was called "B Shark" (ask me later, long story, but something about me not knowing or willing to swim!), a diplomat (which was quite kind, I like to create compromise especially on controversial issues), and asked to the the "heel toe" in public. An interesting day. I think, I think that we are going to go dancing on Friday, which I am super excited about!

I am having SUCH a phenomenal time! In the past year I really haven't been able to really open up and have fun with new people. You know, just having a nice cocktail, sharing my fave movies or books...it's really gr8 to meet people that I can just learn about, laugh with, and share about myself. I forgot how wonderful it feels to start a new friendship, with all the optimism of potentially knowing these people for the rest of my life.

Off to bed for a new day of memory making!

  1. Class is like an alarm clock to wake you up and remind you to get drunk.
